their shelves and send them for analysis after an investigation uncovered knockoffs,
said the state’s hospital association. … WSHA estimates there are over 2 million fake
N95s that were likely acquired by the state’s hospitals, 300,000 of which were bought

Counterfeit PPE products have been flooding the American market since last spring. It is such a threat that the office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations created Operation Stolen Promise in April 2020 to combat counterfeit PPE equipment and other types of pandemic-related fraud. They have discovered fake N95 respirators and masks in healthcare facilities and other locations across the country, putting lives at risk. (click below for more)
